best software program
We are getting ready to switch software programs from rent plus 1.8 to maybe e-move. Is there anybody out there already using e-move and if so are you having any problems with it.

I don't use it now, but did use it with my previous employer...and it was easy to learn and use, with little or no problems, and great functionality.
I had one problem come up with it, contacted the programmers, and it was fixed same day. Turns out it was a programming error that only occurred in an extremely rare combination of circumstances, and I was the one who happened to stumble across it. But the tech support was surprisingly fast and efficient.
If I owned my own facility and had to choose a storage software, the EMove software would be what I would choose.

Hi TWRMS! We just switched from Rent Plus 1.8 to Sitelink Web edition and I could not be happier! This software is amazing! In the past we had trouble training people to use Rent Plus but everyone in the office (including our 70 yr old 2 day a month lady)has found Sitelink to be very easy to learn and use. I highly recommend it, they made our conversion go very smoothly, something we were really worried about. After two years of trying to convince my Dad, the owner to switch to anything other than Rent Plus, he came to me and said he wished we would have done this a long time ago!

Hi TWRMS
I encourage you to look for a program which can more than pay for itself in actual collections plus huge time savings for you! You want benefits in a program such as automatically tracking tenants who are past due or paid in advance. Something user-friendly and full of helpful learning tools such as built-in help videos and a complete training mode. Look for something that has different levels of software to fit the budget of any size facility. You always want to try a demo of any program you look at before making any final decisions.

I used Sitelink at my previous job and prefer it over Storage Commander at my current facility. Altho SC has excellent tech support Sitelink was just 'crisper and cleaner'

Give DOMICO a look!
Have you tried DOMICO? If you would like a demo, please let me know - no hard sales pitch here, just information.
Best of luck to you,
Rodney Vernon

Doc,
The few issues I have with SC are the way it breaks down and calculates the monthly owed, it doesnt subtract any discounts until the first (maybe my settings as I didnt set this up) the monthly facilty summary vs. the super summary are wacky IMHO and rarely match up even after sifting thru the reports manual. IF I was the owner this would drive me nuts as we email the reports daily. I mean the #s are there but if you compare them worded differently so it gives (gave the old managers) a way to explain things away. I dont know if you use their phone tech support but we deal with Travis often and he is awesome!! Also they should have a place to put in master gate codes instead of having to manaully do it theu the PTI server. Just a few I can think of after hours when my storage brain is off.
