I'm having a hard time finding the right location to build a self-storage facility and its only a few for sale in my area. What is the average time or how long did it take you to find the right property?

Site selection is one of the most important aspects of any real estate project and can take time depending on the criteria. There are individuals that do nothing but this professionally because there is so much that goes into it and save time. How long have you been looking and in what area?

I been searching for about 3 months.

I was in the planning stage for almost a year. I knew the general area I wanted because several new subdivisions were going in. When the right property opened up, we acted fast and offered just a bit over asking price for a quick closing. Property around here moves fast...
