  • Spring Cleaning

After an ugly and difficult winter, it's time to let in the sunshine and add some sparkle to your facility. What's on your list, how will you tackle these chores and what's your advice on the best way to maintain a beautiful self-storage site?

I'm going to have to do something with our office floor-the hand sanitizer has eaten holes in the finish. You can mop and mop and it still looks dirty.

I plan on sweeping the drives with a push broom...

First remove all office furniture and clean the floors.
Wash the windows in the office and apartment
          Mop all my hallways.
          Paint all my bullards

All else is regular duty cleanup.

That's comical, I used to use a sweeper on my skid loader for cleaning drives. Now I have backpack blowers for clearing the winter sand applications. Two guys both with backpack blowers can make short work of messes.

We also just finished re installing all out mouse bait stations for the season. We are also applying sterilizer to our gravel areas to prevent weed growth. This is tricky to find days with the wind low enough to be able to apply.
