Gaslighting is a manipulation tactic many people use to make someone doubt themselves or their memories, or just to create confusion. What's a phrase that a tenant, coworker or boss has attempted to use on you? Tell us what happened.

Our contract stipulated that no verbal agreements are permitted. I am the 5th manager this site has employed (built in 1977) and anyone who attempted to say "the other manager said I could" was met with "Hmmm, it's not noted on your contract. Unfortunately your contract precludes verbal agreements." That got me called difficult a few times, but then the problem moved out and was someone else's problem!👍 3Comment

I have a manager at one of my stores that likes to tell me that I had said something very different to a customer than I know that I said, and noted in thier account. They like to tell my DM that I've done this. Basically yo CYA for them because theres no amount of resposibility that they want to take with their property.- Wen -

I have a new tenant who, this morning, walked a couple of rows jiggling and yanking on locks. And of course I caught it all on camera and brought it to his attention.
He first tried to claim it wasn't him, and when I debunked that and told him that we take security very seriously, he called me "paranoid" and said he'd be moving to a facility where Joe Biden wasn't watching him all the time.

by ScvetteHas any gone from having staff on premises to going to a Kiosk? We are in a small town and don’t get a lot of walk in customers. We have about 300 units and we’ve been up to 98% full but since we just put a new building up that number is down now. We’re worried if we switch to a kiosk...

Reply to Latchesby RMRSSAs far as I know, those laws apply only to recording conversations between 2 or more people (whether on audio or video), not surveillance. In 1 party consent states, you can record a conversation without the other person's/people's knowledge as long as you are a party to the conversation. In all party...
