    Wow. That is a stunner. In that case you'd really almost need to directly monetize the charger or set a time limit i.e. 'Need to top off? Get up to 30 minutes free charge time on us! Members can come in, have a coffee and charge up to an hour." Just reaching here. Didn't think it took that long. I believe these are Level 2 chargers which cut the charge time in half, and some companies have level 3, which cut the charge time in more, but the battery/vehicle has to be rated to handle 'fast charging' -or that's what I understand at a quick read here.

        I also found some forums talking about this (some from 2013 so I'm behind the curve as usual). Some propose using simple coin operated timers like many gas stations use for air or water. One linked to this on ebay but there are other products around https://www.ebay.com/itm/Coin-operat...-/250954351133 cut off the electricity when timer runs out. You'd need a 220v version but a quick search shows there are a lot of variants of this type of device for $100-$200
