Paid Time Off

I manage the office for two separate businesses & get a total of 10 days each year. I mostly use it all for kids' appointments. If something comes up short notice my boss usually lets me take more than that off & pays me for it without giving me grief.

Five days of paid vacation for an ENTIRE year is ridiculous! That's one week of 52.

I voted wrong...I get 5 days (40 hours) paid vacation per year. This is the first employer I've worked for in a long time, that offers it. If I plan to do something, I usually plan to start on a Thursday evening thru Sunday so I only have to use a few hours at a time. Other than that, I plan a lot of weekend stuff since I only work till 12 on Fridays and off all weekend.
