  • Things I dread...

It's here again, the annual PCI DSS review. Will I pass? What happens if I fail? What are they asking in all these questions? Here we go...

We failed once, something to do with the wiring/IP for our cameras. We got a different DVR that carried it's own IP and then subscribed to 3 static IP addresses as well. Have passed since then. Ours is in March so don't have to worry about it again until next year.

What kind of test is that??

I only get a fire inspection yearly and with that I have to have a flow test for the fire plug inside my property!

Don't put off until tomorrow, what you can do today.

Credit card compliance / they do a test and run everything in your computer, to make sure you have no ways people can hack you... to make sure CC storage etc is safe.

I have Storable payments and we've never had to do this.

                          From a Google search:

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is required by the contract for those handling cardholder data, whether you are a start-up or a global enterprise. Your business must always be compliant, and your compliance must be validated annually.
