Not sure how I missed this, but probably because we don't do it often. I changed the security deposit during a move in process to be lower and it was not reflected in the lease. Instead it showed our standard sec. deposit rate. The lawyer who was renting the unit I generated the lease for was not impressed. Ended up printing and doing the lease by hand. Called in immediately after and a ticket was put in. Silence for a week. Call again today and apparently it's not a one off issue (so thanks for not calling back). Come to find out that despite giving the options to alter deposits and fees during the move in process, Storedge knows that this will not apply to the generated lease. A warning or heads up would have been nice.
Their solution was to change the language of the lease instead of fixing what is an actual liability issue. Anyone else have an actual work around for this that makes more sense? I know receipts will show the correct amount taken, but not a comfortable situation and I still see major potential legal issues.
