Actually was writing this for another purpose I am considering, but thought I would offer it up.

    Social Unrest:

    Institutional Solutions/Actions:
    1. Protests: The following actually works, even for 200,000 people. No trash, damage and they are all "gone" within 1 minute of the final time.
    a. Require permit- topic, hours, how many people
    b. Post bond for cleanup
    c. No law enforcement in sight, they get to protest whatever/however they want, unimpeded. No property damage.
    d. Law enforcement 2 or 3 blocks away with "Cattle cars", batons, tear gas, dogs, etc.
    e. Anyone hurt during a violent protest, by law enforcement have no recourse.
    f. Any protester still on site 1 minute after the designated time frame will be jailed with a $2,000 fine.

    2. Rule of man or Rule of Law: Why we need to teach Social Studies and Government.
    a. Democracy Rule of law, Civil law
    b. Democratic Republic Rule of Law, Civil law
    c. Socialism Rule of Law, Police State; when you have limited resources, you have to control the population
    d. Communism Rule of Law, Police state; when you have limited resources, you have to control the population
    e. Dictatorship Rule of Man, Military state, you have to control the population by brute force
    f. Anarchy Rule of Man, Military state, you have to control the population by brute force
Remember if you don’t learn from history, you will repeat history.

    3. Slavery in third worlds. Although you have guns, the major control is Food and water.

    4. Slavery in 1st world, is through Food, Water, and housing.

    5. Re-institute communism as illegal.

    6. Hold media accountable for inciting activities. FCC do their thing.

    Personal Solutions/Actions:

    7. Individual responsibility- Control what you can control. You have a 95% chance of being successful if you do the following three.
    a. Don't marry before 21.
    b. Don't get pregnant before 21
    c. Finish High School

    8. Community- Pick a social path. If your successful, stay in the community as a resource and Light of aspiration; or, leave behind the people who won't make it and isolate them. Use your resources elsewhere.

    9. Fight the fights worth winning. "Ism's" will always exist. Each of us is full of "Ism's" otherwise we would all be Number 2 corn. I won’t go into my or my family’s background. But "we don’t care", whether we have had a gun pulled on us or been spit on. Our resources are set to move our families forwards. Its a waste of resources to try to change another persons mind; put those same resources to change your "position in life". If we ever see one of you being put down because, your an “Ism”, we will back you up, even if we don’t have the same belief and you won’t support my right to a different position.

    10. Get rid of Hyphenated American. I’m an American, otherwise I would be about 5 different hyphens.

    11. Pre-school. Sticky notes for ABC and 1 thru 100. 5 minutes on the wall at bath time.

    12. Grades 2-5; mandatory after School Reading and math sessions for the bottom 30%. The “No Child Left Behind” program got left behind. Just need to execute against it, no more laws needed. Once a Student falls behind at this stage, they are lost.

    13. Grades 7 thru 12. Put in Social interaction score by student. Remember the School Shootings, everyone has forgotten? This will identify the majority of all Shooters and get them help. Also the potential suicides and depression cases will be identified.

    14. Grades 7 thru 12. Disadvantaged. All Non “A” students and “Athletes”. If you achieve number 7 above, you will be given $10,000 and a free trade school education. Plumbing/Electrician/HVAC/Medical Assistant/etc. These students you don’t have to fight the dream of becoming a doctor/lawyer or the next great college/Professional player. They will also stay in your community and be shining lights.

The above in place for 10 years will break or reduce the cycle of unrest. Its not about which one you think is right or wrong. Its about picking one and putting your effort towards it for the next 10 years. Don’t go Negative, tell us what you have or will do for the next 10 years.

An the great American dream is the guarantee of the “Pursuit of Happiness”, not “Happiness”.

I dont know where you found your info or if you created it yourself but everything under Institutional Solutions/Actions has not worked yet, see everything going on in seattle now and every other city/state ruled by democratic mayors/governors.

An easier solution will be to teach history as it actually happened and not add emotions. Vote out every establishment scum in the govt. Mandatory term limits and zero benefits after leaving public service. Every law passed will be for every American and congress CANNOT cut themselves special deals as in obama care. Teach firearm safety in every grade. Theres more but I dont have time

What I believe will actually happen is the end of this Country as it was formed by our Founding Fathers and another civil war/revolution is on the horizon.

The key is in the schools. You have liberal/progressive/socialist teachers filling the kids heads full of that crap that goes against all that has happened in the US of A to get us where we are at. How did we get this far with what libs call failed programs. The only thing that fails is the kids grades in these schools because of the teaching environment where kids are not disciplined in school because of liberal policies. Participation trophies? What a hunk of crap. The brain washing continues throughout all the school grades. The people causing the unrest are all from these failed teachings. Charter schools are the way to go or home school. Teachers protected by the very liberal unions are ruining the kids. Bad teacher, get the hell out of here. Good teachers, pay them what they are worth and praise them. The baby boomer grand parents would be justified in chewing out their kids for allowing their grand kids to be brain washed like this. ANYONE who thinks the schools are JUST FINE THE WAY THEY ARE, are of the same ilk and need to really look at themselves and see what kind of idiot they are. If the shoe fits..................................

Remember this. Like Dana Loesch says, " I am a citizen, not a subject" "If you choose to be a subject, fine, but I am a citizen". I am very proud to say I am a citizen and not a subject. But this country is trying desperately to become a nation of subjects. That would be the end of freedom.

So which of the points, or your own are you willing to put 10 years of effort into. All of the above work. Its a matter of doing it. "Focused Effort"

              Institutional:
Run for city council, board of supervisors, school board, legislative, etc. We are a pariticipative government. A single vote can, but doesn't often matter. I cant tell you how frustrating it is to be "right" and your the only vote out of 5. You know your right and they are going the wrong way. I had to learn real quick that the positon with the most Votes, is the correct answer. You just need to get more votes for next time.

              Personal:
Boy/Girl Scout leader, Youth sports coach, after school reading program, youth minister, support summer programs, etc. Make a list and pick one to support. These are all great programs to help our youth develop.

I've had two significant learning moments in my life that stuck with me, taught to me by a Teacher and a "Chicken".

Our speech teacher gave us an assignment to do the Pro or Con of a subject versus another student. Being slow to pick a partner or topic, I got to argue for the Pro of a very offensive act that has touched my family. I won the debate, more on effort than based on societal impact. What this taught me was to learn the other person's position even if you disagree with them, so you will do a better job of presenting your position. I've used this lesson the rest of my life.

When I was young I had about 50 chickens I raised for 4H and for the house. I would go out and sit in a chair and visit with them after I fed/watered them, just to check them out in the chicken run. Every once in a while you would see a Chicken running back and forth non stop along the fence. I finally figured out it was after a bug on the other side. It taught me to fly over, thru, under or around an obstacle but not to keep running back and forth.

The US as a Democratic Republic has always swung to far each way, slowly working its way to a middle ground. The only time we come together is when there is a major event. Depression, world wars, polio, etc.

I'm trying to decide my next effort. No point sitting still.

              Thanks for your input above.

I have a question to the original poster....
                What does this mean?

                11. Pre-school. Sticky notes for ABC and 1 thru 100. 5 minutes on the wall at bath time.

I do not understand what that means!

I was accused yesterday of only watching and basing my thoughts and opinions from FOX News. I countered with the fact that I watch all the news channels to get their take on things that effect my life. Single mindedness does not help advance clear thinking. Again, it was accused by a person that did not agree with my thoughts. My thoughts are arrived at by seeking full disclosure from many sources. Hopefully the accuser can open their mind as well but I doubt it. I for one know that everything is not always black and white. Even if I would like it to be.

Maybe he means to use the washable bath crayons at bath time to practice their numbers and letters? My sons loved those things and we used them for educational tools, as well (learning how to write their names, etc)

Thanks for the followup on the preschool, lady5563 and @AngelaE.

One of the requirements for most pre-schools is your child has to know the ABC's and count to 100. If your child doesn't they are already behind the curve and the rest of the kids and they know it.

A tool we used with our son was at bathtime. We used the preprinted Yellow sticky notes with the Alphabet on them. Put them on the wall away from the bathtub. Did the ABC's with our son for 5 minutes only, so it was a game. Another Productive way to spend time with your child. The letters he got right, we moved to the left. After a while he knew all of the letters and did it at his own pace so he was positively reinforced. Same with the numbers.

This may sound simple, but its a tool to give to young parents to help keep their kids up to speed. The negative impact of falling behind the rest of the class by the end of the 3rd grade, is next to impossible to overcome.

This is the same reason for the afterschool reading and math programs through the 5th grade. Luckily you are only dealing with about 20% of the kids that need the help.

If we don't educate our populace with "Critical Thinking" skills, they have to rely on "Emotions" to make their decisions.

                      Thanks for your question.

I gave them what my Mother gave to me, the LOVE of reading!
When both of them started kindergarten, the teacher was AMAZED that they both knew how to read!!!

Yes, critical thinking and actions are way more important than any safe room.

@pac. Once the thought/discussion process is done, it gets back to the next effort to move the needle. Otherwise I turn my TV/Radio off.

Like the man said, America is difficult, you got to want it bad.

If we were all the same, I wouldn't want to live here. It would be boring.

What do you think should be next? I'm working on that one, myself.

                            Help youth?
                            Run for office?
Send Americans overseas to see what bad looks like?
                            Become a teacher?

Term limits and continue to clean out the "political swamp". Stop allowing the rants of people on the social media platforms to sway people. I personally don't give two craps what someone may say about me on any of those platforms. Too many people worry about being shamed on these platforms. It is causing the ruination of normal society.
